Kathmandu University is the one of the leading university in Nepal.   There were no other universities besides Tribhuvan University few decades back. Now there are several universities in Nepal.

These universities have many affiliated colleges thorough out  the country. So these colleges offer various  subjects.  Now there are many medical colleges in Nepal. Hence this has made easy for students. To some extent capital flight has been checked. But, still the average Nepali cannot afford medical study in Nepal. Kathmandu University has given affiliation for 9 medical colleges . Similarly 4 medical colleges affiliated to KU teach BDS in Nepal.

KU has management faculty also. There are BBA and MBA classes in KU. The MBA of KU is supposed to be finest in Nepal. KU offer M Phil and PhD courses in management. KU had its start from a rented building at Tangal, Kathmandu. Now, it has been able to create a built up space of 46,846 square meters.

It is the third largest university in Nepal. It has 3695 students. Who are studying in its constituent campuses. There are 7500 students in its affiliated colleges. The admission of students is merit based. It is based on their score in the previous examination. The KU master program is as follow.
